This is one of those great books that offers several ways to read or work with it. Filled with exercises and ideas and inspiration for developing a mindful relationship to nourishment for body, mind, emotions, spirit, socially, and creatively, one can read the book straight through and then come back and do some of the exercises. Alternatively, one can start at the beginning and work your way through.
What I really like about this book is that it approaches the whole idea of nutrition beyond one’s physical diet. The program actually encourages us to view nutrition on all levels of our being. That, of course, includes the physical body but doesn’t simply stop there. This looks like the sort of book that could take the reader to the next level in their nutritional life and way beyond. Well Nourished is compassionate while still offering solid guidance and a program that is truly livable and not simply another fad diet.
