Flower essences are herbal infusions or decoctions made from the flowering parts of plants and the essences address particular mental, emotional, or physical issues a person is dealing with. These essences are not to be confused with essential oils. The first 39 flower remedies were formulated by British physician Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s but now there are many different kinds of available.

This book explains how to make your own essences, how to choose one, several case studies of how people have used them, and a glossary of more than 60 essences and their uses. Flower essences are truly a gift from nature and if you haven’t tried working with them, I encourage you to do so. The results are slow and subtle in most cases, but they are also gentle and profound.
